Bali is an Indonesian island located in South East Asia and laws and standards are not the same as in the United States.

​This active vacation covers a good amount of ground of walking each day. Expect walking on touring days. The pace is medium to fast. You will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Depart for Indonesia


Leave from Los Angeles to arrive in Denpasar, Indonesia

Day 2 - Arrive in Denpasar


Arrive in Denpasar, capital of the exotic island province of Bali, known for its pristine beaches, and aura of spirituality. Transfer to Ubud, the island's cultural center and check into the hotel. ​

Day 3 - ARMA Museum & Monkey Forest
(Breakfast Included) 

Begin the day with a visit to Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA Museum), a cultural treasure trove nestled amid lush tropical gardens in the heart of Ubud. Explore the museum's rich collection of traditional and contemporary Balinese art. Delve into the vibrant history and artistic heritage of Bali as you wander through the various galleries, each showcasing different periods and styles of Balinese art. Next, head to the nearby Monkey Forest, an enchanting sanctuary home to over 700 long-tailed macaques. Here, ancient temples and towering trees provide a picturesque backdrop for playful encounters with monkeys. Stroll along the pathways that wind through the forest, leading to several sacred temples within the sanctuary, including the most notable one, the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal Temple

Day 4 - Tegalalang, Tira Empul Temple

Your day of exploration begins with a visit to Tegalalang Rice Terraces, located in the lush highlands of Ubud. The terraces sculpted by generations of Balinese farmers, using traditional subak irrigation methods, create a beautiful mosaic of green that changes with the seasons. From the top of the valley, the rice terraces offer a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding slopes. The road that runs along the ridge of the valley provides numerous viewpoints where you can capture great photos. Several small cafes and stalls dot the area, where you can stop to enjoy a cup of Bali's famous coffee while taking in the views. Next head to Tirta Empul Temple, a sacred Balinese Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of water. You have the option to join the locals in the ritual of purification, known as melukat, where you can immerse yourself in the sacred waters, a deeply spiritual experience. Explore the ancient temple complex surrounded by lush greenery before returning to the hotel

Day 5 - Mas Village and Tegenungan Waterfall

The morning is free to further explore Ubud or take part in the optional Mas Village and Tegenungan Waterfall Tour. Depart Ubud and travel to Mas Village, renowned for producing some of the finest wood carvings in Bali. Visit a workshop and observe local artisans at work. The craftsmen use traditional tools and techniques passed down through generations to create exquisite carvings from local woods such as teak, mahogany, and ebony. Continue to Tegenungan Waterfall, a hidden gem nestled in the lush landscapes of Bali. As you make your way to this natural wonder, be prepared to be enchanted by the thundering cascade of water that plunges into a serene pool below. Descend to the base of the waterfall, where you can feel the refreshing mist and witness the sheer beauty of the surrounding greenery.

Day 6 - Leisure Day

Day 7 - Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK)

(Breakfast Included)

 

Today, explore Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), an iconic 60-hectare cultural park.  Dominating the landscape, the statue of the Hindu god Vishnu riding the mythical bird Garuda stands as one of the tallest statues in the world, symbolizing wisdom, and power. Stroll through the landscaped grounds where you can discover various attractions and art installations that celebrate Bali's rich heritage.

Day 8 - Barong Dance and Tanah Lot

On your last day at leisure choose the optional Barong Dance and Tanah Lot. Begin the day with a Barong dance performance, a well-known Balinese traditional dance that acts out stories and myths of the eternal battle between good and evil. This dramatic storytelling offers a profound insight into the Balinese culture and spirituality. Later, continue to one of Bali's most iconic landmarks, the Tanah Lot Temple. Located on a rocky outcrop in the Indian Ocean, this ancient Hindu temple is renowned for its stunning seaside setting. Meander the lanes of the Tanah Lot, where artisans sell Bali's famous handicrafts.

Day 9 - Depart Denpasar and Return to USA
